Year 4 Term 3 Week 7 Blog

In UOI class the students are reflecting upon this Unit's Central Idea and are beginning to edit and wrap up their projects for their summative assessment that is rapidly approaching. The students have been also searching for different non-profit charity organisations that they believe is are good causes that they hope to help one day.

In English class the students worked on a creative writing piece. They had to come up with an invention and write about how their invention could help solve some type of problem. The students were required to follow the writing process and peer edit each others work prior to their final submission. Our students who are working with Ms. Anjanette took part in presenting a "Living History Museum. The did an excellent job presenting to our learners and staff members.

In Maths class the students worked on building their mental mathematics agility to build confidence in problem solving, multiplication, division and other key math concepts. The students also took a word problem assessment this week in Maths class.

The student enjoyed visiting the Year 5 class as part of our "Transition Week" to spend time with Mr. John E. and learn about some of his expectations for next school year. In addition, the students have been practicing for their end of the year class performance. Please encourage your children to practice at home and learn the words for the song that they will be singing during this performance.
