In UOI class the student have continued to work in their groups on their presentations using Google Slides. In addition, the student have begun to build and create their models to represent their assigned Natural Disasters. The students were especially enthusiastic about working on this project. They have formulated many creative ideas on how they would like to build their models.
In Maths class Mr. Rick, Ms. PJ, Ms. May and I have been working with each one of the three groups on building skills in multiplication, division and multi-digit addition & subtraction. The students also continue to build their knowledge in place value. We have started to integrate some new teaching strategies into our Maths class that we have learned about through our teacher's training last Saturday. This new strategy will help students to retain and recall multiplication facts more quickly.
In English class the student have continued to enjoy reading Alice in Wonderland. The students took part in writing tasks which required them to write about what they think would happen next in Chapter 9 of the book. The student also completed a writing piece on the curiosity to go along with our Assembly theme for this week. For our Christmas Event the students also began to practice their performance and learn about how families celebrate Christmas in Belgium.
