Year 3/4 Week 15 Blog

This week in English class the students took part in a Writer's Workshop. Each group of students were responsible for writing their essays based on a different topic. The students worked together to peer-edit their essays prior to completing their final written drafts. The students also worked on identifying pronouns in sentences.

In Maths class the students continued their work on finding out the sum of the missing angle in a triangle and identifying triangles as right, acute or obtuse. The green group worked on measuring for mass and comparing objects of various weights.

This week in UOI class the students began to present their Google Slides presentations on their assigned natural disaster. The students also took part in our Year 3/4 field trip to the Fire and Disaster Prevention Centre where they learned about the role of those who work for this organisation and how they are able to respond to natural disaster and help the community. We also visited Bangkok Hospital and the students had the opportunity to be presented with information regarding their Emergency Management Team and how they respond to people who are injured during natural disasters. The students had the opportunity to visit their emergency room and see how some of the equipment is using to save lives.
