Year 3/4 Week 16 Blog

In English class the students worked on learning new spelling words that end with "es" "ious" and words that begin with "anti" or "mis". The students also wrote about how and if their families celebrate Christmas and what traditions they practice at home during this time of year.

In Maths class the students have worked in their groups to take part in multiplication and division learning tasks. The green group worked on practicing multiple digit multiplication and division using multiples of "7". The blue and purple group worked on practicing multiple digit multiplication using multiples of "4". They were also introduced to the concept of division and have begun to understand that division is the inverse of multiplication.

In UOI class the students have completed their summative assessments. All groups have presented their Google Slides presentations and have demonstrated how their models of their assigned natural disaster work. The students enjoyed presenting their models to their classmates.

For our Christmas event which will be held next Thursday, the students have created their Belgian Chocolates and also made Dream Catchers which will be on sale at our Year 3/4 Christmas booth. Any proceeds will be used to buy school supplies for schools in need of assistance and support. The students enjoyed making these chocolates thoroughly. We also continued to practice our Belgian Folk dance that we will be performing at the Christmas event.
