We are happy to have all Year 4 students returning to UDIS with such enthusiasm for term 2. I would like to welcome Ms. Keb to our Year 4 class. She is very knowledgeable and will be a great addition to our teaching team. She is very excited to be working in our class for term 2.
In UOI class the students have been learning about different forms of advertisement and media. As part of our central idea, the student will learn and explore how advertisement and media influences people’s minds to make them purchase specific products.

In English class the students have completed their first writing samples for term 2 which will be used to gage and compare their writing progress throughout this term. Ms. Keb and I have also assessed all Year 4 students reading levels this week using the PM Reader assessments. Beginning Monday, the students will receive there new levelled reading books or chapter books according to their appropriate reading levels.
In Maths class the students have been reviewing all of the concepts that they have learned about in term 1. Next week, the students will begin a new concept and learn how to add, subtract and/or multiply and divide using numbers with decimals.
