This week in English class the students worked on writing letters to their friends and siblings. They have worked on their greetings and salutations. The students also began writing book reports based on books that they were given according to their reading levels.
In Maths class the students have wrapped up their unit on "Telling Time". The students worked on word problems dealing with time which included addition and subtraction of time. The students will be moving on to units of measurement next week focusing on units of length.
In UOI class the student have completed editing their TV commercials as part of their Summative Assessment. Each commercial was presented to the class to display the student's different creative skills that were used when creating their commercials.
On Global Play Day the students enjoyed taking part in the many activities and play areas that were set up for them. The students greatly enjoyed the building, arts & craft and football stations.
* Just a reminder that next Friday the 15th of February will be our UDIS "Sport Day". Please have your children wear their house team shirts to school on that day. We will also be having a student council charity bake sale. If parents would like to donate any baked good or monetary donations they will be greatly appreciated. It would be best if the baked goods could be dropped off on the afternoon of the 14th or at 8am on the 15th. All proceeds will be used to purchase supplies for schools in need and will be donated through the Kudsra Subdistrict Administration Organisation.
