Merry Christmas from year 4! This next week is going to be very busy and very fun! The students will be performing the song Frosty the Snowman for all the parents, students, and staff at the UDIS Christmas assembly. The kids will be acting it out as they sing so please make sure they have some Christmas themed clothing on during the event.

The Thai staff did a wonderful job this week coordinating the assembly for Soil day. Students got to learn all about the different types of soil and how it is good for growing crops. Students also got to brainstorm with their peers regarding the main causes for soil pollution.

This week in maths, students continued to learn more about fractions. They had the opportunity to identify equivalent fractions and practice adding and subtracting fractions. The students were also introduced to decimals this week. The following week we will be focusing on decimal place value and converting fractions into decimals.

Our new UOI has the students inquiring about where they are in place and time. The central idea is communities celebrate events which connect them to their history, beliefs, and culture.  Students will be researching the amazing life of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and all the wonderful things he did for the people of Thailand.
