Students have been learning all about proper paragraph formation. This week students continued to work on their paragraph writing. Tashi completed a three paragraph essay about when he moved to Thailand. Nino continued to work on his EAL lessons and Mark worked hard on revising his previous writing. I think this was a successful week of learning. 

Maths

Maths this week focused on plotting coordinates on a coordinate plane. Students had to learn how to plot coordinates along the x and y axis of a coordinate plane. This is important work considering that much of Algebra focuses on coordinate planes. 

UOI

This unit has been all about exploring signs and symbols. Visual language is an important part of human life. Students had the opportunity to explore how deaf people communicate with others and the world. We got to look at how people with disabilities overcome their challenges and do some pretty amazing things. It is important for our students to understand and appreciate the empathy we should all have for disabled people.
