Hi all! English class this week focused on perfecting our paragraph writing and following the procedures of the writing process regarding revision and rewriting. Students were able to share their writing with parents, peers, and me in order to gain insights into how they can make improvements. This is a vital part of the writing process and students did perfect job taking the feedback and making the appropriate corrections to their writing. Also, students have been learning their spelling words all year. I am very happy to report that spelling has gotten to a point where our learners are consistently spelling their words correctly. They have worded hard and this kind of progress is wonderful to see! 

Next week students will be working on their comprehension of what they read along with continuing to fine-tune their writing by focusing on paragraph structure, revising, and peer review. 

Maths

This week students worked to understand symmetry in 2 dimensional shapes. I don't want to spend too much time on this concept since I think students have been able to easily understand it. 

Next week we will be moving on to measurements and time. I want our learners to understand how to convert various metric measurements. I also want our learners to know how to read and convert a 24 hour clock to a 12 hour format.
