UOI

This week students had a great time continuing their learning with sign language. Last week students learned the American Sign Language alphabet and this week students focused on the British Sign Language alphabet. Students had a chance to reflect on what the major differences and similarities are between the two and why sign language is so important. 

Next week students will be wrapping up this unit on signs and symbols. We will focus our learning on creating our own family crest and picture collage that represents who we are. 

English

This week students focused on their writing of paragraphs and the process involved when it comes to revising and editing. Students also continued to develop their spelling capacity. I have also recently introduced a new online resource to help our learners continue to develop their reading skills. 

Math

This week students worked on classifying various geometric shapes. We also learned about angles and parallel lines.
